Meet the Staff

The Berean Leadership Team Our church leadership consists of staff pastors, elders, and deacons. One of our core values is a commitment to Christ's leadership. We acknowledge that Christ is the Head of the church and that He has appointed elders to shepherd each local church and oversee its ministry leaders and their development.
		Dr. Brad Davis, D.Min Senior Pastor pastorbrad@bereannola.com Brad is a graduate of Faith Baptist Bible College (BA), Grace Theological Seminary (ThM) and Dallas Theological Seminary (DMin). Pastor Brad came to Berean in September 2004. He enjoys spending time with his wife Julie, listening to music, playing golf and reading. He grew up in Colorado cheering for the Denver Broncos. Brad and Julie have two sons, Matt and Adam (Alissa). One of his crazy goals in life is to be on all of the seven continents. (Antarctica will be a challenge!) He loves to shepherd, preach God's Word and see lives transformed by its incredible power. Brad is a history buff and believes the British troops actually quartered where his house now stands during the war of 1812 and the Battle of New Orleans! Ok, maybe not, but it was close! :)

		Jamie Christian, Director of Childrens Ministries children@bereannola.com Jamie attended Union University. Jamie joined our staff as Childrens Mininstries Director in August 2009. Jamie is married to Richard and they have four children, Caleb, Lydia, Katie and Darren.

		Richard Christian, Associate Pastor of Worship/Family Ministries richard@bereannola.com Richard is graduate of Union University and Southern Seminary (Worship Arts), in Louisville Kentucky. Richard joined our staff in April 2007. Seeing people surrendering themselves to a lifestyle of worship (Romans 12) is Richard's passion. Richard enjoys hanging out with his family, coffee, running, cycling, cooking, movies, music and reading. Richard is married to Jamie and they have four children, Caleb, Lydia, Katie and Darren.
		Fernando Vera, Spanish Pastor (Iglesia Biblica Berea) Phone: 504 469-4699 Fernando, his wife Gely, and their son Fernando Jr., reside in New Orleans. Fernando is a graduate of the Seminario Biblica de Puebla in Puebla, Mexico. If you have any questions relating to the Spanish ministries at Berean, please give Fernando a call at the number above and he would be glad to talk with you!
		Julie Davis, Administrative Secretary office@bereannola.com Julie joined our staff as secretary in October 2005. She is a graduate of Faith Baptist Bible College. Julie is a huge Notre Dame fan (her hometown is South Bend!). She enjoys life in New Orleans even though she doesn't like seafood! Julie is the proud mom of Matt and Adam (Alissa), and thinks it's ok to flirt with her boss (see above, under Brad Davis). Call the church anytime and she will be glad to help you in anyway.

		Abby Carpenter, Nursery Director office@bereannola.com Abby is a graduate of Southeastern Bible College. She was introduced as the Nursery Director in January, 2010. Abby and her husband, Ben, live in St. Rose and have been actively involved at Berean since 2007. Ben currently serves as the Chairman of our Deacon board. They have two children, Eden and Lincoln.

		Bonnie Carr, Bookkeeper office@bereannola.com Bonnie is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University. She has been keeping the books since September 2004. She works alongside our deacon treasurer to pay the bills, keep up the budget and account for the offerings. Bonnie is married to Gene and they are the parents of Samantha and Jonathan. They reside in Gretna.
